    option 1 - The White Villages

    A walk through the beautiful Moorish white villages of Capileira, Bubión and Pampaneira.

    Circular with the first half walking along the opposite side of the Poqueira gorge.

    Through forests and along Moorish terraces passing old farmhouses, some ruins and some still used. With a view on the white villages and the second half from village to village along the old paths that connect them. A beautiful and divers walk crossing the Poqueira river twice, with a lot of history told during the walk. We can see the big amount of terraces from the time that this was part of the center of agriculture in the Moorish times.

  • option 2 -  La Taha

    option 2 - La Taha

    This is another divers and great walk through nature and old Moorish white villages, from the top of the group of villages Capilerilla, where the rests of the oldest Visigoth temple around can be found from the VIII century, to the Moorish mill (XII century) and roman bridge down at the river Trevélez. We pass through 8 small and original Moorish precious white villages walking along old paths that connect them as they did hundreds of years.

  • option 3 -  Busquistar to Trevelez

    option 3 - Busquistar to Trevelez

    Busquistar is one of the towns that best preserves the traditional Alpujarran architecture with it’s Moorish origin. From here we walk up through forests and along dirt roads with fantastic views towards the village Of Trevélez, the highest village of the peninsula at 1500 meters. Trevélez is famous for the quality of its air-cured hams that hang there by thousands in big store buildings. It’s possible and interesting to visit one of them.

  • option 4 - Pampaneira to Lanjarón

    option 4 - Pampaneira to Lanjarón

    A very unknown but beautiful walk with fantastic views with rough and smooth parts along old ruins and pittoresk farm houses. Starting or ending in Pampaneira with its pretty square dominated by a 16th-century Mudéjar church, the Iglesia de Santa Cruz. From here we walk towards Soportujar from roman origine, the witch village, where lots of things make you remind the connection with witches. From here we walk again on small paths through the nature towards Cañar and finally we end in Lanjarón, the water city with it’s famous thermal baths.

    Can be made shorter upto Cañar only.
