Geweldige ervaring in een adembenemend gebied!
Een 2-daagse hike om nooit meer te vergeten. Prachtige uitzichten, mooie natuur. De tocht zelf was door de vrij uitzonderlijke harde wind best zwaar met twee tieners, maar de prestatie dus des te groter. José is als gids geweldig. De combinatie van jarenlange ervaring, merkbaar tijdens de hele wandeling, maar tegelijkertijd het enthousiasme alsof het ook zíjn eerste keer is, maken de dagen extra speciaal. José weet alles over planten, dieren en het gebied. Gaf ons het vertrouwen dat het ging lukken. En het lukte! Voldaan na twee dagen teruggekeerd (geslapen in de bemande refugio Poqueira) met flink wat kilometers in de benen, maar absoluut de inspanningen waard! José, nogmaals bedankt!

Great hiking experience
I booked a two day tour to climb Mulhacen in June. Jose was an excellent guide, explaining about the area, the plants and animals along the way. An added Bonus was his lovely dog who hiked with us :)
Since Mulhacen was covered in thick clouds, with very limited visibilty I was very glad to have Jose with me, as it was easy to get lost in the thick fog. He even guided a few lost hikers back on the right track.
Definitely would recommend! Even though we had fog on the Top, hiking through Sierra Nevada was an amazing experience and Jose was a great guide!

Mulhacén with Sierra Nevada Spain Hiking
We had booked a trip to the Mulhacén summit with our guide, José Florenza. First he made a reservation for the SIAC bus and a great hotel in Capileira. We jumped on the bus at 8.30 which brings you to Alto de Chorillo in about an hour. Next, we started our hike in the direction of Refugio de Poqueira where we had a coffee. Great place with excellent views and very nice service. From the Refugio we walked to the Laguna de Caldera. From there the last 400 meters to the summit were challenging indeed due to the thin air. We spend some time on the summit to enjoy the awesome views and descended back to the bus stop. José is an extremely skilled guide and knows everything about flora and fauna in the Sierra Nevada. It was an adventure not to forget and we really recommend Sierra Nevada Spain Hiking for the ultimate trip in the mountains!

José was an excellent guide and great company! We made it all the way to the top of Mulhacén sin problema! I learned so much about Spanish history and the nature along the way as well. I have been living in Spain for two years and my Mulhacén summit with Jose was one of my top 5 days. I would recommend him to anyone!

Más que un guía, más que una excursión
Fantástica experiencia, Jose no solo es un buen guía si no que además hace de la excursión toda una experiencia. Divertido y ameno con historias de su vida y datos curiosos sobre las zonas visitadas. Lo recomiendo totalmente, todas mis excursiones con él han sido inolvidables, no se me ocurre mejor guía para conocer las bellas montañas de sierra Nevada.

Hiken van Capileira naar Refugio Pogueira met een overnachting
Heel bijzondere ervaring met een bijzondere Gids, José Florenza. Niet de makkelijkste tocht maar José maakt het mogelijk ook al zit je er even doorheen hij loods je verder is heel erg geduldig en kent zijn verantwoording. Hij weet heel veel bijzondere details van de omgeving, de geschiedenis en de natuur. Spreekt 5 talen waaronder vloeiend Nederlands. José bedankt en zeker tot een volgende keer.
